Green Press Initiative
SEE
Innovation’s primary markets-work is carried out through the
Green Press Initiative. Founded in 2002, the Initiative is
focused on minimizing impacts on forests, climate, and people
through advancing environmental responsibility in publishing
and the paper industry.
As
a result of Green Press’ U.S. book sector work, recycled fiber
use has increased sixfold in the past four years and
approximately 45% of publishers now have environmental policies
in place. The Initiative also has an emerging program in the
U.S. newspaper sector and is a leading organization in the
effort to transform the paper industry at-large. |
Dream of a Nation
Dream of a Nation is a national public awareness and capacity
building effort that is designed to raise awareness of key social
and environmental issues and generate revenue for the civil society
movement. The first phase of the program is a book-in-progress and
will be later expanded to include documentary film, domestic and
international capacity-building efforts, and a web platform for
highlighting success models.
